Murray Bishop

Murray Bishop is a name synonymous with brass and wind, band leadership and education right across Australia.

He has held both National and International champion status, has toured and performed with the best in the business, yet he remains committed to providing opportunities and encouragement for younger musicians and those who may benefit from his experience.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Murray is at home on most brass and woodwind instruments, as well as keyboards and percussion. As a conductor he has led concert bands, orchestras, opera companies and jazz bands and still remains active as a player and conductor in these areas.

Teaching is his passion and passing on years of professional experience to others is the focus of his work in both classrooms and individual studios
